By creating a SheRide account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use SheRide. Riders must additionally hold a valid two-wheeler license, vehicle RC, and pass our background verification.
2. Women-first platform
SheRide is a closed-loop platform: all riders are verified women, and passengers must be women or persons accompanied by a woman they are traveling with. Misrepresentation of gender or identity will result in permanent suspension and may be reported to law enforcement.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sheride.in if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Rider obligations
- Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with Indian traffic laws.
- Maintain valid insurance and pollution certificates.
- Wear and provide a helmet for every ride.
- Pay the applicable monthly or annual subscription. 100% of trip earnings are yours.
- Respect all passengers and SheRide community guidelines.
5. Passenger obligations
- Pay the displayed fare promptly via accepted methods.
- Wear a helmet at all times.
- Do not request unsafe or illegal detours.
- Treat riders with respect.
6. Fares and payments
Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and city base rates. No surge pricing is applied. Cancellation fees may apply after 2 minutes from booking. All payments are processed by RBI-licensed gateways.
7. Insurance
Every active trip carries ₹5,00,000 of accident and emergency medical insurance, underwritten by our partner insurer. Claims must be filed within 7 days of the incident.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. Riders may cancel subscriptions at any time; refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
SheRide is a technology platform connecting passengers with independent riders. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the trip in question, subject to applicable insurance cover.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
